outdoor pallet covers - why do i need UV protection?!

Posted by

First of all, maybe you don't - it depends on the product and the length of time the product being covered will be staying outside.  UVI / UVA protection, when referencing pallet covers, is an additive that will help give the large poly bag added protection from the sun.  The additives will block the sun's rays from penetrating through the bag and destroying or possibly lessening the "full potential" of your product.  Once the poly bag is compromised it is much easier for the UV rays and rain, wind, snow, dust, leaves, pollen and whatever else to penetrate the stored items. Most of the time the chemical additives used to block the sun's ultraviolet rays are mixed in with the raw material "poly" that makes up the pallet cover.  These chemicals will usually help to protect your stored load outside from 3 to 6 months on average.  Also, one of the biggest strengths of these additives is helping to maintain the pallet covers "integrity".  The sun can be very damaging to poly bags of all shapes and sizes. The pallet covers will "break down" when left in the sun day after day.  A pallet cover with UV protection is a cost effective way to protect your products from the sun and it's damaging rays.  Buy a roll from us today!  Our quality is consistently excellent!   http://www.creativepackagingandsupply.com/pallet-covers-and-large-box-or-bin-liners/
